Riviera Residence

A refined coastal residence balancing Spanish influence, contemporary form, and integrated landscape design with disciplined architectural clarity.

Riviera Residence

This coastal residence reflects a disciplined architectural response shaped by proportion, material clarity, and site orientation. Influenced by Traditional Framhouseprecedents, the design is distilled into clean volumes, restrained detailing, and carefully framed openings that capture coastal light.

White stucco massing and traditional borad and batten is balanced by warm natural textures and articulated rooflines, creating depth through shadow and scale. Expansive glazing introduces transparency while maintaining privacy, allowing interior spaces to feel connected to terraces and courtyards without sacrificing composure. The spatial organization reinforces a seamless indoor–outdoor relationship, with primary living areas extending naturally into currated exterior rooms.

Landscape architecture is fully integrated into the design strategy. Drought-tolerant plantings, layered hardscape, and defined outdoor zones establish rhythm and movement across the site. Materials are intentionally curated — custom millwork, subtle lighting, and refined finish palettes emphasize texture and craftsmanship.

The result is a residence that feels grounded yet open, contemporary yet rooted in coastal tradition — an architectural composition defined by clarity, restraint, and environmental responsiveness.
